The Company has invested heavily in research - both in infrastructure and scientists. Our 500 skilled scientists include 150 scientists who have PhDs. Our research spend is among the highest in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. We are at the forefront of intellectual property creation and have till date filed more than 250 patents.

An example of a formidable task was commissioning the Wockhardt Biotech Park, a state-of-the-art complex, housing six dedicated plants catering to 10-15% of world demand for major biopharmaceuticals. Another aspect unique to the company is its success stories of effective management practices and turnaround strategies. Wockhardt has effectively turned around loss-making companies and rationalised operations to bring them back on the profitability and growth path.
